Part 7 · lesson 3 of 3
You learn which days your firm counts.
About 5 minutes.
Whose numbers these are
You have not picked a firm yet. So the figures below come from one firm’s published rules. Each one is named and dated where it appears. Pick a firm and the same lesson runs on your own numbers.
trading day
A day the market was open and you traded. Firms count these differently, so the count that matters is the one your own firm publishes.
Two counts matter and they are not the same: days you traded at all, and days you traded and finished ahead. Which one your firm uses decides when you may ask for money. This one comes back: Does a day you watched but did not trade count as a trading day?
